またこのギターは、MSGの"LIVE IN TOKYO 1997"のDVDジャケットに映っており、"MICHAEL SCHENKER STORY LIVE”のアルバムでも使用したとマイケル本人が語っています。
ヘッド裏とピックガードにはマイケル直筆サインが入っており、ネックとボディ接合部分に、1という数字が書かれています。
ハードケースには、手書きで「MSG STAGE RIGHT CS#3 V #1」と書かれたテープが貼られています。
MICHAEL SCHENKER'S GIBSON FLYING V No.1 owned and used by himself in late 1990s【 Gibson Flying V 】An item that actually had been owned and used by MICHAEL SCHENKER as his main guitar (so-called "No.1") in late 1990s. It comes with the handwritten autographs by MICHAEL SCHENKER and its hard case. The V on the cover of his DVD, "LIVE IN TOKYO 1997" is this one. He also used it on MICHAEL SCHENKER STORY LIVE album.
【Circumstances of acquisition】
In July 2002, Michael was having some personal problems and for various reasons sold the guitar through an auction on eBay. A gentleman named Martin living in London won the bidding war. In March 2008, Martin decided to sell it in order to start a new business, and asked the owner of the most famous Michael Schenker fan site in the world, which was authorized by Michael Schenker, to announce the sale. I was introduced to Martin by that site owner and purchased it in April 2008. After receiving it, I sent the site owner some photoes of the No. 1 Flying V as a thank-you and asked him to post it on his site. A series of announcements on the site and reports after the purchase can still be found on the fan site. If you wish, we can provide you with the URL of the fan site.
【Letter from Michael Schenker himself】
Gibson Flying Vee 6 string guitar bought by Michael Schenker in 1995 from a fan guitar dealer during the UFO show.
It was custom painted black and white for Michael Schenker personally.
The pick ups are Seymour Dunkan Custom or Jeff Beck Model.
It sounds best over 50 watt Marshall split channel 800 series.
If you use Boss Delay and Chorus go into send and return in the back of the amp and go straight in front through a WHA.
Even if you don't use a WHA it. But it makes it sound great.
I used it on the MICHAEL SCHENKER STORY LIVE album and video in Japan.
And after that on and off.
